As the title suggests, how do you overcome prospects who hate being cold called? This also applies to cold emailing, LinkedIn etc – basically any cold outreach.

A semi-common response is “Sorry but I don’t respond to cold callers” or something to that effect.

Another prospect told me via email after I was referred in “If I responded to every cold caller then I would never have time to create a roadmap”.

I can go around these prospects but the problem is that it is the usually the key decision maker who gives these responses. Sure, an option would be to contact others and establish a mid-ranking champion instead.

My solution could be the perfect fit for this account but if they refuse to talk to cold callers then I suppose I should Qualify Out and move onto the next account?
